I both love and hate these threads at the same time.
I grew up with dogs and cats, but my wife has allergies to anything remotely furry.
I’d love a dog, or a cat.
But mostly a dog…I bet there’s nothing better than getting home from a stressful day to a wife who has also had a stressful day, but a dog that appears to have had an awesome day and is the happiest thing alive because you’re home. When I was younger, my dog seemed to know when you were upset about something and would just sit on you while you watched TV.
Our springer spaniel when we were younger was awesome, he was huge for some reason – the local game keeper wanted him when he was a puppy but changed his mind for some reason. I remember when my Mum put a chicken carcass in the bin behind the front door. We came home to a massive hole in the back door, a missing chicken carcass, and a dog walking round with a cat flap wedged on his shoulders.
