Modern stuff’s all well and good but when it comes to good ol’ sweeties, the classics outshine the new kids.

Butterscotch hasn’t tasted good since it came in those lovely gold wrappers. Each one was its own delight.

Not very old in the grand scheme of things, but the Maverick bar was a wonderful creation.

I loved this chewing gum with a “cold” liquid centre.

I used to really like Beech Nut chewing gum too.

Found a great old fashioned sweet shop in Whitby the other week, only sold stuff by the quarter, which is 113g, I think the sign said.

I didn’t care, just happy to order sweets by the quarter again!

Moffat toffee looks good, I’ll need to get some next time I’m up there instead of a case of scotch pies I always seem to buy.

This was a Friday night treat when I got my 25p “spends.”

I’d eat it whilst watching Starsky & Hutch.
