Anyone else going? Just trying to book a chalet. Sorted out a guide. Very excited.

We will be in Tignes 6-10, due to the late LA opening on the 8th this year. Probably riding La Varda on Sunday 9th though. Where are you staying?

We stayed in chalet Longue Vue in Vallandry last year. An easy 1 min pedal to/from Vallandry lift and bars. Recommended.

    La Thuile, Pila

Better combo than Les Arc, Tignes IMO.

Anyway Day trips to both Pila and La Thuile are highly recommended.

Such a fab long descent, with enough different lines to keep you coming back for more!

On that vid though, they didn’t hit the massive step up on the lest at 8.55, which is like being fired into space if you don’t brake at all into it!
And the tight hairpins from 12.45 onwards that rush up to you, and if you’ve done it non stop from the top and been flat out for all that time, they just seem to compress your arms more on each one till your chins on the stem!! BRILLIANT!

You can park right by the chalets – most roads are winter pistes, but open summer. We stored bikes inside the chalet no issues. PVR staff very helpful.

Yup! The trails in the woods run down to Aosta are awesome because there are some many different lines down through it, although you can get sucked in to a line that can get pretty serious if you don’t look up and far enough down the trail. A few lines have significant (~5 to 6 feet) drops on them and can come at you out the blue………..
