    Hi Chaps,

Further to my conversion of the Transit I want to remove the internal lighting and replace it with something else. Ideally I want an easy life and non-recessed lights, just lights that can be screwed into the ply.

I have 4 power cable ends that attach to the lights with what appear to be proprietary connectors, can I just lop the ends off and connect some spade connectors to them to hook up to some 12v lights?

    Cheers for your help chaps

    maybe.

what are the 4 wires. in the VW there were 3. +ve, -Ve & switched -ve.

choose the right 2 and wire them up normally.

ah, sorry it’s just a pair on each (but four of them around the van to ttached to different internal lights) – a +ve and -ve, no switched -ve.

do you need a switch then?

Nope, the power is switched on or off from the cab….

reckon just plug it in then. i would recommend LED lights as the power draw on the batt is much less.
