Bit of a foolish one this but I keep my bike in my room (I’m a student) and knocked my tv over as I brought it in this afternoon. Subsequently I have cracked the LCD screen on the TV meaning half of the screen is now pretty much white/ multicoloured and definitely unwatchable.

I was just wondering if anyone had had a similar problem and had one fixed and a rough cost? As a guide, the TV was about £270 so whether it’s worth buying a new one anyway… I’m in Sheffield too if it narrows it down for local repair shops.

    Thanks

Don’t be daft, everything is throw away these days (unfortunately)

Go and buy a new one

The biggest cost of a screen is the panel. If you’ve broke that, it’s almost certainly beyond economical repair.

Get on gumtree or oval Facebook groups.

You’ll almost certainly find a TV cheaper there than repairing a busted LCD unit
