I've got a Sun Ringlé hub which needs new bearings – I normally do all my own maintenance and repairs but I don't have a 17mm cone spanner so was wondering how much an LBS is likely to charge me for replacing the four bearings?

17mm Ice Toolz cone spanners £2.99 each and £1 delivery from UK Bike store ie £7 for 2 delivered.

(guess who had to buy a pair last week to attack an XT hub 😳 )

cheers, my hand is hovering over the buy button – just curious as to how much a shop will charge as I have no idea – £20?
why has no-one invented an adjustable cone spanner?

Why not ring your LBS & ask them? Just a though…
Really don't understand why people ask these questions 'how much will a bike shop charge for xyz?'
Why not pick up the phone, or drop in & ask them, they'll probably have a better idea how much they'll charge than a load of people you've never met on an internet forum!

Sorry, just a little pet hate of mine, nothing personal 😉

I was deliberating over ordering the tools and bearings and wanted a comparison and it was about 11pm and I didn't think they would be open!! Ok?
