    What is the Largest cassette that I can run with a short cage Ultegra rear mech?

    depends on your chainrings as much as anythign – it's the max number of teeth difference between front and back that's the issue.

    12-27 I'd guess.

    Run a 50-34 up front and you could climb walls with it…

    offically 27 but 28 works fine too – just tweak the tension screw.
