To replace two old XP machines, a cheap Vaio and my old Tosh.

After a decent household laptop – general use, some photo editing.
£500 is the very top of the budget, btw.

If possible, I’d also really like it to be able to play MS Flight Sim X, so I assume non integrated graphics are a must.

I’ve been using an 7 or 8 year old Toshiba Core Duo with a NVIDIA GeForce Go 7900 card, which runs FSX ok.
I’d like something with at least as much graphic capability as that, if poss.
I’ve absolutely no idea where we are currently re performance/cost.

I’ve found this review of the Asus X552CL, which although now sold out might be suitable.

How about this Acer from Save On Laptops?

I’ll be doing more research myself, but if anyone could point me in the right direction I’d be grateful.

    Thanks in advance.
