    Morning

Seems I’m getting a lot of play in the BB pivot bearting on my 2011 Zesty 514.

Does anyone have any experience of changing the bearings? easy enough to do without special tools, and any top tips?

Figured i might as well change all the bearings while I was at it.

I see there are plenty bearing kits on e bay….would anyone recomend getting them elsewhere?

    Cheers

I recently changed the bearings on my 2010 remedy and would not wish the experience on anyone. To be fair , it turned out only two were still working so they were in a bad state which might have explained the ungodly force needed to free them. I usually do all my own mechanicing but I’ll be getting frame bearings done at a shop fro now.

I’ll probably do that on my 314 after the summer. As Mafiafish says I’ll do most jobs on the bike but pivot bearing falls into the ‘more hassle than it’s worth’ category especially as my LBS is pretty reasonable for such jobs.

I certainly wouldn’t tackle it without the proper tools as there is potential to make expensive mistakes.
