I’m looking to put a smaller cog on the back of my Langster but have utterly no clue if it’s a 1/8 in or 3/32 in cog I need! Can anyone offer some assistance please?

    Looking at these,

Any good? I’d basically like it to last forever with zero maintenance!

    Cheers!

Assuming you have the original chain, 1/8. Though narrower may be fine too.

Buy a new 1/8 chain with it, and it won’t matter, plus your new cog may well just last for ever.

Ah! I thought the size referred to the cog/hub interface! I feel silly now, damn imperial crap….

    Thanks!

Either will work, the chainring on mine is 1/8 so I have a 1/8 chain but I think the stock cog is 3/32 anyway (brown 2009 model).

it matters not, well done for taking the true path towards track gearing, you might be able to keep up with riders who love their derailleurs now 🙂

I may have a spare 18 and 20t screw on cogs going for buttons if interested?

    Thanks but I’m after a 14t.

Any recommendations for a decent cheapish/long lasting chain?
