Have you done it? Langdale, stake pass, down to langstrath and then back up to Greenup edge and down to grasmere, before heading back to langdale. I saw the switchback down into langstrath whilst climbing in the valley, looks good from a distance…..

I did that very route in march from an old MBR or something. Carry up Stakes was OK then decent down to Langstrath great, difficult in places but doable. Almost alpine-esque some sections. BW on Langstrath full of massive boulders very fustrating had to push 70%, FP on other side looked better. Big hike granny / hike / to & scramble over Greenup, boggy at top and the down to Grasmere very frustrating with more big boulders. I consider myslef to be a good technical rider and I was pushing alot or riding off the path which I dont like doing. Rode back up over High close to Langdale then, some nice swoopy stuff to LH side of road. Wouldnt recommend it, wish I had done something else instead.
