    Im in a need of a route from either the Ennerdale valley to Kendal or the west lakes area in general to Kendal. I’m planning a mid summer ride from the west lakes to manchester. Got the Kendal to Manchester bit sorted via canals. Thanks for any advice.

    If you do Esme‘s suggestion, take the Esk Trail from Ravenglass to Muncaster Castle, avoiding much of the main road section.
