    Hi,

Can anyone recommend a 15-20km route as a stop off on the way to Scotland. I prefer AM/Light Downhill to XC so don't mind climbing so long as there is a good downhill as reward.

Hope you can help, many thanks.

If you want something easily accessible from the M6 on the way to Scotland then something into Kentmere starting at Stavely could be a good plan (especially with Wilf's cafe).

Good downhills from Garburn pass, Nan Bield, Gatesgarth and Sadgill at the North end of Kentmere.

Sounds good AndrewL, especially the bit about Wilf's cafe.

    Many thanks

From Junction 40 M6 theres a great route from Pooley bridge to Roadhead farm,Off Road Climb to Moordivock,Keep right towards High Street but join the decent towards Howtown (past Barton park woods I think its called) Return on the road to Pooley Bridge.

    Enjoy 😉
