With spa watery stuff for the lady after Ive dragged her over a few hills, South Lakes preffered as I know my way around there better. Dont want to be driving to trails (I wont be riding NF/Altura btw :P)

The Lakeside hotel has just re-opened. You could join the list of guests who have stayed there, such as celebrities Wes Brown and Kym Marsh

Stayed in the Langdale a good few years ago and it was good. There's a pub about half a mile from the hotel too which is a nice wander there and back after a couple of pints.

If I remember right, doesn't the pub belong to the hotel and you can charge drinks to your room? genius!
