I’m usually answering these, rather than asking, but can’t remember what the ground is like in Aaron Slack, and whether it would be worth a go on the bike? It’s the path descending from the col between great and green gable, and was thInking of incorporating it into a ride if it’s worthwhile for a mediocre rider. Cheers!

Did it once a few years ago after climbing up from Ennerdale. Pretty steep and loose with a few steps thrown in. Wouldn’t rush back to do it again to be honest.

Scree at the top, into a fix the fells graded path. It’s a good loop from town TomB – if you begin with a climb up behind Castle Crag, up to Honister and across from there. You can end with the descent down to Stockley Bridge then tarmac it home. It’s doable in an evening in the Summer.
