I’ve entered the above event with some mates so I’m taking the fully rigid Mtb. All my tyres are aggressive 2.2 types. What would you recommend for this event? Thinking Schwalbe Marathon Plus 26×1.75? Looking at £40 max for a pair.

You’re probably not going to go much faster than by pumping up some mtb tyres hard.
It’s local to me, so I may do it, but on the cx.
