You could take your non-cycling mates to whinlatter and hire some bikes – start em on the blue run and see how they get on?

I took my XC bike did the hard south and south west rides from here and some local riding around the campsite. I was amazed at the riding, so glad i asked your advice and i am already planning to return with more riders and a full suspension bike.
