I have a morning pass and a new cross bike to get muddy.
Can anyone recommend a route from Kendal or Stavely or there abouts.

Kendal>Longsleddale>Sadgill>Turn right at bottom of Sadgill, Pick up lanes back to Kentmere Village> Kentmere Hall> Over to Ings> Wilfs for brew> 90% rideable on cross i should think> Sorted

he means turn LEFT at Sadgill and go over to Stile End. I'd go down to Sawmill Cottage rather than Ings on the way to Staveley.

No i mean RIGHT towards Hallow Bank, then left down the steep gated tarmac road after a few hundred yards, then left onto a bridleway (Low Lane), just cuts out a bit of road and is a quite nice stretch of track

    wrong valley 🙂
Sadgill is at the foot of Gatescarth, at the top end of Longsleddale. You have to turn left there onto the BW to Stile End, which is where you turn R for 100m and then left to pick up the track to meet Low Lane 🙂
