Quite a lightweight set-up, Any body wanna suggest upgrades before the build begins? I am not a serous XC racer, but do appreciate a good quality bike. now 53 years old, ain’t no whippet any more but been XC riding for over 25 years, this bike set-up should be ok do you think?

DMR Vault pedals?

Got some DMR spd platform pedals in red (currently on my Kona hoss deluxe)

Bin the wheels and chainset. ProII/Mavic317 will be lighter and stronger.
A Shimano chainset will allow you to control bearing preload more and will last longer.

you could go 1×9 with a superstar guide if you are man enough for it
