Hey I have an old 2004 Kona Caldera that I only use for odd road rides and runs with kids. Out at weekend I broke the caliper mounting lugs off the bottom of the forks.
Now do I replace them with cheap set of suspension forks or is it possible to fit a set of rigid Kona project 2 forks? Thought it might lower the front too much?
I dont want to spen too much on it as its only an old nock about.

Just bung some 440mm P2’s on it. I’m running some 420mm P2’s on a 100mm corrected voodoo at the mo – it is the shizzle for cornering, but you do have to pay attention to pedal timing in order to avoid massive pedals strikes … it’ll be fine for a knockabout.

At the other end of the A-C length range, I’ve got 29er PII’s on my ’92 Kona (with a 26″ wheel) and it’s great. You’ll find them for ~£50.00.
