I have recently just got back into riding after about 4 year, being out of the loop and looking at all these rear shock is hurting my brain, the stock shock on my coiler doesn’t like the bigger drop offs and jumps, just wondering what i should think about upgrading to. Also fox seem to be the “leader” but are they the best?

    Thanks

might be better (certainly cheaper) to get it custom tuned (pushed or something ?) by tf tuned or mojo

Ah i’ve never even heard of bike springs being tuned, will definitely look into that. Thanks for the advice

Talk to TF Tuned or Loco Tuning, for recommended shocks for your frame.

They don’t “tune” the spring, they (or you) can replace the current spring with one with a different spring rate that’s more appropriate to your weight and riding style.

The damping, however, can be tuned (different weight oil, alterations to internal components) to give you better control over the way the shock responds.
