Christmas present to myself, but what size will be most useable.

Can anyone who’s got a pair reccomend a size for general use?

    Ps happy festive season all

I got a pair of 250mm from Amazon – they’re ideal for the vast majority of gripping tasks, but don’t open quite wide enough for gripping things like sink waste pipe fittings (they’ll open to 46mm / 1 3/4″).

I’ve just got the 180mm ones. Got them for bike stuff so didn’t want the bigger ones. Nice bit of kit and go up to 35mm I think. Surprisingly compact for the size nut they can fit. ?

250mms here too. Thought about the 180s but sometimes something needs a good heave. Any bigger they’d be cumbersome one-handed but a big enough size to grab/turn most things. Certainly for bike use they’ll do everything you want.

Bought some as a treat to myself recently, ace tool, use them so much now!

I was leaning towards the 180’s anyway and they would be used for more bike etc repairs so I think that’ll be the ones. Good to hear they live up to the hype
