    Looking for some light and comfortable pads for mega avalanche any suggestions

    You want proper coverage for the Mega. Something like a Fox Launch Pro is good for pedalling, and what I did the Mega in.

    Nukeproof Critical look similar and get good reviews too.

    For elbows it’s important to have something that won’t end up around you wrists during the race – so I’d suggest something snug and “fitted” rather than loose with a long velcro strap.

    I have Ion e-pact pads and they would be perfect, but other brands do similar styles.

    depends how easy you go down…

    have some old IXS hard plastic ones that fit and fit well. Also saved my knee and shins a lot.
