  • Kitchen worktops. Anything cheaper than stone/nicer than laminated chipboard?

Looking for a utility room worktop but would like something a bit more quality than usual laminated chipboard.
Is there anything that sits mid way between laminate and granite?

I have to ask; it’s a utility room! Isn’t it going to be slightly more abused than with dirty things like muddy boots and oily bike/carparts?

Don’t go for solid wood. We have them they need constant upkeep and observation.

    I’d go laminate.

Solid blockboard type, acrylic style Corian.

Or something more funky perhaps…recycled worktop from black yoghurt pots? Or plastic bottles?
