    For the kitchen fitters/gas fitters/plumbers…

If, say, one was having one’s kitchen completely redone and one wanted to have a gas hob on the opposite (internal) wall to where the current hob and gas supply is, would that be a problem? Can the gas supply be rerouted under the floor?

    Yeah no problem

Well when I say no problem … that kind of depends on whether the floor is boards or a solid (concrete) base.

Anything can be done… it’s your house… just depends on how long it may take and how deep your pockets are.

    Cool.

I bet it’s a concrete base (80’s build house on an estate). And, thinking about it, the gas supply comes in at the furthest corner from where we want the hob… 😕

Still, given that there’s a wall to come down, a hole in another wall for some french doors to be put in and a full kitchen refit, it probably won’t make that much difference 😯

Our gas pipe was rerouted via the ceiling void

You can reroute them externally as well in some circumstances. Need to check flow as increasing the length might mean going up a pipe size.
