Anyone out there using a King Kogs sprocket? Did it tear itself apart as soon as it was pointed up a steep incline? Surely sprockets should not be this light? Feels like aluminium to me.

They do alloy and steel versions.

had a lovely king kog, in alloy, **** bombproof, withstood stomping up climbs in mac-forest without sulking- have now gone onto a phil woodskiss off fixy hub so donated my king kog and other singlespped gubbins to one on the peeps on this forum for their first go at singlespeeding so hopefully It's still going great for them as well.

I just moved a King Al cog to a different wheel today. Steve rode most of his racing this season (including a lot of solo enduros) probably got a good couple of thousand miles on it. I was surprised how little wear it had on it.

I rode trials on a steel one for 2 years, and it did its job perfectly, didn;t even wear. Friends have also run the alu one for trials and again its been perfect. I'd still one one now if I was SS.
