I am thinking about building a new bike for my GF, (I have a load of spare parts left over after my mmmbop build got out of hand, only the cassette and tubes got swapped in the end) has anybody got any experience riding these?

she is still quite new to off road cycling, I dont want to scare her if this is too racery (long and low). Other option would be a Merlin Malt 4, although same problems I think.

Does anybody know of any other female specific frames?
