Morning, my oldest (13yrs) is getting into biking but has had a few offs recently. Last one involving a knee dab on a rock.

I’ve been looking at knee pads and ordered some M IXS Hack Evo Kids pads but they were too small. From re-measuring he is on the XS size of the adult spectrum but not many do these sizes and the L side of IXS Hack kids pads.

Anyone bought knee pads for their 12-14yr old? Anything else I should consider?

When my lad was 13 he started with a pair of Bliss mid price range things, which came in an extra small size – they lasted a year held together with gaffa tape before they fell apart , then he moved on to Seven iDP s – he’s just turned 15. Best thing to do is buy from a shop, try on a few to get sizing right. Kids knees are pretty spindly so having a good range of adjustment is essential AND If thery’re not reasonably comfy, he/she wont wear them so it’s worth spending a bit of time and money on it. Good luck!
