My 6 year old is keen to take his bike off some sweet jumps so I’m thinking a full face from Santa would be a good idea. Seem fairly thin on the ground, any recommendations? Preferably less than £50. Cheers!

IME, full face on small children causes as many issues as it solves. They often don’t fit, so issues when riding and when needed to protect you. The chin guards sick out so far, I fear for the child’s neck…

We took the approach of just holding them back a bit from massive jumps, and making sure they are ready and skilled to progress. So far only a couple of crashes, and only skin loss.

661 from CRC are good. I think we paid 30 quid.

The kids love ’em. We bought them for BPW / Alps. I think mine were 7 at the youngest so not tried at 6.

Santa’s got one of these to deliver to a young lady in this house, but she’s a few years older than yours and is going to be using it for dh and 4x cos thems the rules! She’ll still be wearing a pisspot for messing on jumps.
