    At what age is it considered safe to put a child in a child seat on your bike? I've had differing advice from about 9 to 18 months (and even younger).

    I quite like the idea of the ones that fit to the top tube rather than the rack – seems a bit safer and a bit more interactive for the little one – any recommendations or experiences good or bad?

    My daughter has been comfy in a Hamax Discovery front mounted seat since she was 9months. I would say it depends on the child and how strong their neck is etc.

    The Hamax mounts to the headtube so you need a good gap between where the top tube and down tube conect with the head tube.
