Kevlar bead exposed on brand new tyre- will I die?

I just opened the parcel with my brand new Nobby Nic folding tyre in to discover that the tyre has been folded up so tightly that the kevlar bead has burst through the rubber and is exposed. Is this normal, will ithold air if I try and run it tubeless,is it safe?
