Anyone else hear him on The Museum Of Curiosities?

    Man’s a genius.
    Clone him.

Saw him at the Opera House in Manchester years ago, took my mum.
Started at 7.30, as advertised, finished about quarter to one the next morning.
    Felt like an hour.
Started repeating himself about midnight, nobody cared.
    🙂

    Indeed, a comedy genius

However I’m afraid that when he finally passes on, the subsequent revelations about his involvement in slavery & forced labour may badly tarnish our memories of him.

I thought he died years ago.

He does have a little of that Monkhousian, Archie Rice feel about him.

    But I like the act.

Never seen a show but I believe he’s notorious for very very long performances. Which is no bad thing of course.

My auntie knew him and when I were a nipper I was taken often to see him recording his radio show at the BBC radio theatre somewhere in Manchester. He seemed old then – amazed he’s still going! I remember him going on and on not just in the show but in the warm up and after in the bar too. Nice bloke as I remember. He still sounds need dead sharp on t’radio this pm.

Saw him at Bolton Albert Hall about 8 years ago & I basically PMSL for about 5 hours. People were creased up on the way out cos they had to get back to let the baby sitter go home.
    Genius.

Saw him at the Plaza in Stockport years back. His first line was “I hope you’ve brought your flask and sandwiches”.

Used the same line when I saw him at Wolverhampton a few years back, he was brilliant and as above finished well after midnight, my sides genuinely hurt for a couple of days afterwards.
