Have a look at Alpkit as an alternative, not sure how they compare in price to Kathmandu, but the latest Alpkit mats are better than their original Airic range and very good value with it. Nice guys too.

cheers, yea was thinking of the alpkit ones but kathmandu have matts in sale which makes this harder choice especially if they are good

They are sh1t, have seen 3 that were used lightly completely delaminate. Pay peanuts get fckn crap. Which applies to all Kathmandu stuff. The 'price' they advertise is inflated so there sale prices look great and the stuff uses average fabrics quite badly put together. Thanks for listening.

Kathmandu kit is generally over priced hence there's always a sale on with them. The quality is about medium.
Alpkit make no nonsense medium quality kit that's well worth buying. It's not cutting edge but its honest, reliable and at a very sensible price. They have fantastic customer support too so send it back to the Derbyshire HQ if you have any problems.
