Being able to tether your mobile phone to be a Wi Fi hotspot if you still can’t watch stuff like the iPlayer?

Also will the beeb ever make the iPlayer available to mobile users?

Semi rant over. (yes it’s a pretty specific rant)

    😉

Edit, just to chuck it in, why he heck do Sky charge to watch stuff on an Ipad, I mean it’s not like the best part of £100 a month is enough is it!

    Feeling better already…

I have the i player on my mobile, and also had it on the last 2..
I thought it was available on most phones now?

The unlimited data on 3 also means you dont need to use wifi.

I have it on my Nokia 5800 – indeed it ONLY works via wifi which I find somewhat annoying. Have you tried whatever app store pertains to your phone?

iPlayer on Nokia 5800? What app am I missing, or is it just via the website?

It came on my phone, an Orange one.

I think you can DL it from somewhere though – maybe the Beeb, maybe Ovi store.

tvcatchup.com lets you watch live tv on 3G, Not quite iPlayer but handy!

watch iplayer on my Samsung GS without any issues, i wouldn’t want to do it over 3g because of the data use, but Wifi is fine.

WiFi is great when you have it, but why have a mobile and a tablet so you can go anywhere if You just can’t get content outside of wifi?

Never mind that…why have a mobile AND a tablet??? They do the same thing but a Tablet helps people with crap eyesight (or phat phingers) do the same as those with a mobile…
