More detail required. Why are you not heading down the M4 to exercise some your common law rights?
Posted 3 months ago # -

naffa thanks for offer but looking at around 200 mark to keep me goin
Posted 3 months ago # -
No worries mate, I'll take 200 for it.
Posted 3 months ago # -
That's Sh%$ to hear, I can donate you some parts and If anyone else on here has some spare bits, we might be able to get you a bike together?
Posted 3 months ago # -
I'm a bit confused ? Did he buy something from you , then said it didn't turn up ?
Then presumably got his money back through PayPal ?Posted 3 months ago # -
Guessing the seller cannot prove delivery and therefore refunded if paid by BT or PP Gift
Might be ok if the appropriate cover was paid for when sending otherwise its about 40 quid maximum compensation, would need the receipt to prove postage
Probably not the case, but maybe they really did go missing, do you know otherwise for definite?

Are you bikeless now? seems odd as you've listed up 3 different bikes within the last 2 weeks on classifieds...
Hope you get stuff sorted out - good luck.

How long ago did u send the parcel ? Is there a chance it is still stuck in the postal system ?
Posted 3 months ago # -
i sent them weds last week...royal mail have check the area for delays and said its all fine no delays at all, and him sayin they have been nicked out the post is guilty if u ask me as he knows they were sent via standard.....ive emailed him as pic of recipt also to paypal but as no proof of delivery it looks like its my prob....but as it stands he phoned tonight calling me all the names under the sun and says he has a mate at the royal mail whose told him things that size do get lost...its all a bit convinient to me

I feel sorry for you - I had the same happen to me on ebay recently where my wife sent out a PSP & games standard instead of recorded. The buyer DR23456 said they never recieved the item - so I had to refund through Paypal. Then a few weeks later they started to sell said items on ebay. I complained to ebay but they said the couldn't (wouldn't) do anything. I kept on going back to the people andy saying - did you receive it and I can see you are selling the stuff, but they knew all too well that nothing would come about it.

Yeah unfortunately there are a few bad uns in the post office. Like you say it sounds convenient that his mate says things go missing all the time. Does not tend to happen when it needs a signature at other end.
Seems a little quick for PayPal to payout. So presumably your receipt is not classed as proof of posting?Posted 3 months ago # -
its a horrible feeling mate u just know for ur own good there is nothing u can do.....i could go round hes house and do what i feel like doing but id be just as bad, looks like il take it on the chin and learn,
cheers tho ashleyPosted 3 months ago # -

If I was you I'd be reporting that to the Police as it is fraud. I would also be ensuring that Ebay/Paypal know the circumstances and Police involvement, so that if they continue to allow items to be sold and the seller to trade, they are effectively aiding and abetting a fraudster.

ive already made a complaint but its paypals case down to them to decide so ive lost out silly mistake just hope no one else deals with this rat...
cheersPosted 3 months ago # -
Go to the police.
Posted 3 months ago # -
No offence but it does happen. I had some forks go missing but luckily they were insured.
How can you prove the buyer is lying?
Posted 3 months ago # -
What a pickle you're in.
So this should really be: 'Just a warning...always send stuff via signed for/insured post as people may take advantage if you don't'.
It does sound convenient but you don't really 'know' he's lying you just suspect. And, adding libel to the loss probably won't help matters.
Hope you get it sorted somehow.
