My forks have been due for a service for a while now and the left stanchion has been worn for sometime, im currently sorting this out so this is not about the service so don't ask me about it, just checking my bike over as its going to Whinlatter Forest tomorrow and just noticed a small amount of play at the front end of the bike, its not the headset but if i feel between the actual stanchion and the fork its self it seems to be there? now im guessing with it being worn down there is a gap between the 2 that's causing it to feel like play ? just want to double check that my thinking is correct, its not the scewer either cause ive checked that also cheers.
