After shattering my collarbone in 2007 and being out for 18+ months after I got a drop badly wrong cos I'd always been too scared to try, and learn, I finally nailed 2 footers today.
And it feels good. Even got respect from a 9 year old!
And it's like everyone says, same technique as a 3 inch kerb, just a little more speed and a little more movement. It's all in the mind.
    🙂

    (38yr old Mr MC posting)

rode in swinley with MC and some riding buddies. Discovered a recently built trail jump being inspected by teenagers on jump bikes. Decided to hit it. As I came down the trail the first kid I passed shouted to his mates

"watch out, that old man's doing it..".

My indignation was mollified by the fact they all bottled it, making excuses about not having their "big" bikes with them… (blumming kids dont know theyre born 🙄
