After being let down by our main lake jump sponsor at the BBB who was providing the ramp* I have decided to build our own.

How do I work out the ramp profile? I need it to throw people quite a way into the lake but get them high enough to do tricks. Anyone got a template I can use?

*Thanks to Green Oil for calling a friend who's ramp we borrowed and then butchered. Check out MBUK Hype next month

    Okay – I Googled it

Now what do I need for a lake jump that will give some distance yet still give air time for trick?

think about what you want the kicker to do and the answer is simple.
use sand as a kicker as you can shape it
