I need a new track pump, and was thinking about a Joe Blow Mountain, but I will also need to use it for my road bike. I usually run 70psi front, 75 psi rear, so in theory it should work, but will it work well or should I go for a normal, higher pressure one?

My aged Joe Blow certainly inflated my road tyres just fine.

Yeah will be OK, takes a bit of effort once you get to 60-65, even 80s doable (just).

Yep. As dirtydog says, with a bit of bouncing up and down on the handle it’ll go well past the range of the gauge with no apparent risk*

*I’m not guaranteeing that statement. Risk is still yours, but I’ve had it damn near back to 0.

Good for car tyres with the extra volume too.

    Aye that’s the technique. 😀

Go for the yellow one. It easily gets my road tyres up to 120psi.

Why would you ever want to run road tyres above 80psi?

No idea. I thought 100 – 120 was about normal for road.

I have two of the yellow ones (inherited one). They work great on all my tyres. Even 650B ones.

They’re pretty decent on my tubeless road tyres too.
