Big companies have loads of information, but no-one can find it and therefore it either doesn’t get used or rewritten multiple times.

Knowledge management generally means making all that information easily accessible to the people that need it and ensuring it’s kept up to date. This could be tens of thousands of documents that might be needed by thousands of people – but an individual document might only end up being needed once every three years by a single person.

We have a Document Management System which is where documents go to die, may as well file them in the bin.
