What it is is a group ride at a steady pace, for folk who are always at the back. We’ll potter around some hills, wait and regroup at the top and bottom and eat some cake. If you’re fast, you’ll be waiting. If you’re slow you’ll be in good company.

Shall we call it a Peak Potter?

Route TBC, but will be from either Hope or Edale. We’ll be leaving the car park at 10am.

A plethora of choices for the travelling MTB rider (well if he had a working bike). I’ll see if the lefty will hold pressure for any length of time on the old crack ‘n’ fail this weekend. Then do I join the ruffians at the hill climb or the Potter?

And I need to make cake. If NBT is going to be there it had better be one without chocolate as Bunnyhop doesn’t do chocolate in cake!

Just a quick update – final route (and therefore car park) will be decided next week, based on weather. I have a preferred route but I’d sooner keep it flexible till, say, Wednesday.

Not sure my organisation will be up to Pook’s legendary Pootle status but I will do my best.

Not sure I’ll be there. Bunnyhop is currently not riding, as above.

If my son’s RL game over in Hull gets called off ( & there’s a good chance of that ),then i’ll be there .

I’ll be there & I’ll make Brownies to sell for a small fee / donation to McMillan! If you want I could also produce some non-chocolate baking!

The more baking the better as far as I’m concerned… I am aiming to bake some flapjack, but we’ll see.

Right, quick update. Having perused the long range weather forecasts (and looked out the window) I’ve decided on the classic Jacob’s Ladder route from Edale (also known at the Vertebrate all weather loop). We’ll be going up Chapel Gate and down Jacob’s Ladder.

Park in the main car park in Edale – from memory it’s a fiver so bring plenty of change.

Of course you’ll also want to bring change for the donation bucket right?

If you’re coming it would be handy if you could post in here just so I have an idea of numbers.

Tom and I are hoping to be there on our tandem.

Well a boutique little group of us went and rode – myself, Stealthcat, Chipster and of course Flyingmonkeycorps. Awesome weather, fine trails (even the sunken road off Rushup Edge is bedding in a little). Some big climbs, some big descents. Tea and cake at the end. Hurrah!
