50mm f2 macro lens started cheap, got my attention.. one hour left it’s not so cheap but I’m hooked. This may not end well.

PFFT! That’s rubbish, quite frankly Molly. Amateur! D- Must try harder

You’re only having a bad ebay day when you wake up having drunkenly bought a 25 year old TVR in need of restoration, or (again drunkenly) ordered a new frame, dithering, changing your mind, then ordering another new frame

I may have possibly done one or more of those things 😳

I accidentally won a Toyota Celica after convincing myself I could raise the money. OOPS.

I was sober at the time, but this is my biggest eBay regret! 😥

It’s still sat behind the house!!

2 mins to go, still at £100 under the going rate, and I’ve closed the window.

    That took some doing 🙁

Olympus 50mm f2.0 macro lens, one of the sharpest ever made, went for £230.

Today I learned that the increase max bid dialog box on ebay does not update as fast as the main page does, so that’s the one you want to look at.

I came back from a nighclub at 7am a while ago, a wee bit worse for wear.

A few days later I started getting emails about the need to pay for my antique pocket watch. I thought it was spam so i ignored it. Then I got an email about bank transfer arrangements for the deposit for a chalet/cottage in the Ardennes.

It appears that I had spent a couple of hours trying to make millions through “shrewd” antique and property investments.

Checking my internet history for those unaccounted for hours, I had actually been doing “research”!!! 🙂

Ooops. A coupe of awkward conversations later and I was back to the day job

My brother in law bought 4 wheels an exhaust system and some other bits for a MK1 escort after drunkerdly deciding he could buy all the bits off eBay and build a car for next to nothing. When sober the prices soon added up.

mate of mine was pissed in afghanistan one nght and bought/won a merc clk or some such for £16k, he wasnt due home for 2 months, that took a bit of explaining.

Though the funniest has to be my mate Steve who thought he had spotted the bargain of a life time (some life!) when he saw a brand new pair of Merrell boots that he had been after for £12.
When they arrived after he ‘won’ (the uncontested auction) he realised they were cheap for a reason one size 8 one size 9. He’s been walking round in circles ever since…. we call him village

I recently bid £38,556 on a bike by accidentally forgetting the decimal point. Needless to say, I won it…… 🙂

I bought three brand new suits for a hundred quid. I sat there, smug in the knowledge that I was a very shrewd character indeed. No-one could match my business acumen and eye for a bargain.

you know, until they arrived and were for someone with my sized upper body and waist (i.e., normal) and an inside leg of 20 inches.

I didn’t need the flash or the lens. I hadn’t been shopping for them – I only bid because I thought they were going to end up real bargains. They did, but they went to someone who had more cash to flash than me.

A bit miffed about the flash though. I got sniped, and I thought I had pressed the button on my own snipe but I hadn’t actually clicked. It went for less than the bid I was trying to put in.
