The pillars I have are double butted not single butted fella they do feel a little spongy to build but you can get adequate tensions though, ACI’s I’d never build with but find sapim on par with DT Swiss in terms of stiffness

yeah, it is a bit weird, when you’re used to tightening until it’s ‘done’, but the pillars just give a little bit more turn. I was always waiting for them to snap.

ride fine though, hold tension, look nice and haven’t failed yet (!)
