Does anyone know what is accomplished by ‘pledging’?

dunno, I’ve had a read, you get the chance to win a bike, “get info about exciting future projects/events” and some other offers. What’s in it for them or the collective us (cyclists) I don’t know. The cynic in me says they’ll have a load of info/emails to sell on but no idea if there are some genuinely altruistic benefits. If there are then why don’t they advertise them?

Not a bad effort in our office today – probably helped by the bacon sandwich bribe.
