    For under a tenner.

Connex quick links. Superstar pads. Buffs. 661 Descend gloves 08 (a perfect pair of gloves, for £9.50).

    Any others?

crud catcher, chamois cream, wooly socks.

and if you remove the £10 limit – windstopper soft shell, winter boots, decent tyres.

A second hand saddle, it was so much a pain in the bum riding without a saddle, after it got nicked. 🙂

Truvativ chainring bolts that have allen key interfaces on both sides.

I won’t ever go back to the old style.

It hasn’t really changed my life though!

Forgot about this thread. Its been a huge disappointment too, I was hoping for lots of cool ideas for bike stuff I could buy without having to spend too much..

For £10? Absolutely nothing. Lots of nice things but nothing ride-changing or indispensible. Sorry.

Now, give me £200 and I’ll say a dropper seatpost 😉 Even when I take the suspension off the Soul I leave the dropper on

Coolmax socks, chainring bolt spanner, Pedros tyre levers and Jelly Babies. The tenner rule makes it far too difficult to come up with inspired choices.

    Under ten quid?

Probably enough to buy my three favourite copies of Bike (all circa 1998), which I re-read religiously.

A bell…not cool and not exciting but on the busy weekends around the Surrey Hills it clears the traffic from the trail which means I can keep my speed up and it keeps the red-socks happy (I was actually congratulated on my last ride for having one)

summer gloves from prendas, the ones with the names of the mountains are only a tenner and properly comfy
