    Ok – simple question – do they come loose & any other problems. Thinking of getting a frame with Ital bb – will be Campag external bb.

    Both RH threads and 70mm BB width. Functionally no real difference.

    Italian BB’s have had a reputation for unscrewing in the past, I don’t know how well deserved that is and this thread may be of use;

    I wouldn’t be put off buying a frame you liked because of the bb thread.

    I had a training bike with one for a couple of years and had no problems with it. Sold that bike on to a mate of my Dad’s and I’ve heard nothing untoward about it…despite that bike being used for the training for and for the actual riding of Land’s End to John o’ Groats.
