I too wish to know this! My waterproof looks to be three times the size of that thing packed, at least.

Hi, I believe it is the orange jacket we had in FGF.

That particular one is a limited edition so you might need to hunt around a bit to find one.

Thank you Hannah! I’m guessing that this is the non-limited version. Very nice but a bit spendy, might have to wait for the sales I think…

Let me check with Gore. I think the One fabric is only available in black, so not sure that orange one is quite the same stuff.

As an affordable alternative to the non roadie skinny bodied rider take a look at Columbia’s Out Dry material.
I have one of their jackets and it’s fantastic in the rain and not noticeably sweaty inside as the pit zips are massive.
And because there is on DWR the mud just washes straight off with a hose pipe.
I’ve used it many times on the bike and dog walking in the rain and it still looks like new.
    OutDry

I have this, but the black is more of a grey colour

and I have a pair of their trainers with OutDry in as well and I’ve never had wet feet. I can’t see that same pair on their site now as they were on offer at the time.

Slightly heavier, slightly bulkier, heavier duty (I guess), more available (than Gore) and a lot cheaper

Endura MTR emergency shell goes about same size and works a treat.

Was interesting to see all the kit. I have my MBLA assessment next month and am just finishing off gathering the bits together. I also have a short length sleep mat, for casualty care, and a whistle, otherwise just about identical. 2 emergency shelters though : a 6-8 person one and a 2 person one, as leader : group ratio can be up to 1:8

It makes for a hefty pack….

If you’re looking for that jacket then you’ll find it at Evans, not sure they’re doing it in many other stores. It’s lovely.

A reply from Gore (even though Ben there is supposed to be on holiday- what service to STW!):
It’s a limited edition jacket, to celebrate the first jacket we made back in 1985. It comes in Orange and in Black but also as a GORE ONE SHAKEDRY version.

This is the jacket, on Evans site, but also Biketreks, Wheelbase, Keswick Bikes and other small offline specialists have it.

It’s smaller than cardboard that carry the spare tubeless valves.

    A reply from Gore…

Thanks! Might have to go and visit a shop, just to see how small it packs down you understand…
