Than a a good expresso with a spoon of sugar in it and then the cup topped off with double cream.
In the warm brown beverage category, I don't think it can be topped without the addition of alcohol.

Sorry about the mistake. Does it really matter that much?

What is important is that it was a good coffee.

Any opinions on Nespresso? (os should that be nexpresso?) 😉

Not imo. I assumed you were using French, which after all, is the language of culinary delights. And of course, it refers to it's Latin derivative – exerting pressure.

I'm sure the coffee elite would scorn all over nespresso but it got me 'into' coffee when I hated it for so long so it can't be all bad!

One of the reasons I don't like Nespresso is that you get the drink without the fun of creating it, nor the smell of the freshly ground beans.

Ohh, and because it doesn't taste like coffee – I honestly prefer instant coffee to Nespresso – at least it doesn't pretend to be something it is not.

Did I get it wrong AndyP ?

Ah well – I've always struggled with the irrationality of a mongrel language.

That, and pisspoor education you understand…..

The Ristretto version of Nepresso is actually pretty good and the convenience outweighs to the loss of other sensory stimulants during the making of the drink. We don't drink that much coffee and the fact that the pods keep for a few months is a big plus along with the tiny footprint of the machine in our rather small kitchen.
