Looking for a new seatpost and having a look on CRC the Masterpiece is £97 and the Elite is on sale for £56 and was wondering if for the sake of 40g its worth it??

It's only really a weight difference so that depends on your weight weenie tendencies.

Nope – they look the same and both hold your seat in place.
Save your money for something else IMO

Up to you innit? It's functionally no better, but I spose if you were going for a programme of weight saving over the whole bike, then the Masterpiece is the one to get. Although some carbon posts are lighter.

I bought a hardly used Masterpiece for just forty pounds. It's very nice. 🙂

    Thanks guys/gals

In no rush although my current easton cheapo post is 5 years old and starting to creek like mad in the frame so will keep an eye out for a second hand Masterpiece or just get the Elite new over the next few weeks.
