    Just wondering really.

My hose is internally routed so was wondering if I changed my brakes could I just change the lever and caliper.

Nope. It’s printed on the hose bh90 most common.

Plus connectors can be different. Straight or 90′

Depends what brakes you have and what you plan on changing to. It’s generally BH59 for Deore and below and BH90 for SLX and above (they use the banjo fitting). What you got and what you gonna replace it with?

I’ve got current m615 deore brakes and considering latest xt version.

Current deore are straight connectors, xt are 90′

So you need new hoses. BH-90 with 90′ connector

    What about current SLX

    Same problem

Personally I don’t think there’s any point in upgrading shimano to shimano.

    What’s your reasoning?

I had SLX on my previous bike and they felt amazing really nice bit of power to them.

Got the current Deore ones on my new bike and whilst they are good they arent as good as the SLX ones, even using Ice tech rotors.

Curious. I’d be intrigues to know if the difference is made by lever or caliper.

Hmmm Im not sure to be honest. They feel a little bit spongier than SLx to me.

Still good brakes but I would prefer some SLX or XT.
